The Afetsi Awoonor Foundations core objective is to eradicate poverty and bring sustainable economic development to the region in which we operate so that the people, particularly the youth who live there have a future there. This we do by tapping into already available assets, such as land a valuable resource, skills, talent and the potential of the young people in those communities.
The maiden edition of the Nutoamenenyo Howliwli porganized and sponsored by the Afetsi Awoonor Foundation between Deceber 5th and December 19th 2021. The Torunament Consisting of 8 teams, 2 teams from each of the four traditional zones Weta, Dzodze, Afife and Penyi of Ketu North in the Volta Region of Ghana. Namely: Kave Future Star, Dzodze Heritage FC, Penyi Victory Stars, Tamekope Stone Breakers, Dekpor Mighty Rovers FC, Weta United FC, Tadzewu Leed FC and Afife FC.
The Founder and Co-Chairperson of Mr. Afetsi Awoonor used his birth month as an opportunity to donation medical supplies to the child care units of four hospitals across the Ketu North Constituency in the Volta Region of Ghana. Namely, Afife HEalth center in Afife, PEnyi Health Center in Penyi, St. Anthony's Hospital in Dzoodze and Weta Health Center in Weta.
The Afetsi Awoonor Founndation donated a number of text books to the Gagodokope-Lave M/A Basic School. in the Volta Region of Ghana. This was in compliment with the handing over of a newly constructed 5-unit classroom block, office and sanitation facilities for the School sponsored by Pencils of Promise Charity.
In 2010 Afetsi Awoonor inn collaboration with Tomco Mechanical a construction compnay in New York, designed and built five (5) solar powered mechanized boreholes for the community of Tanyigbe Atidze in the Volta Region who had no source of potable drinking water.
